99Designs pays tribute to Bauhaus is the most suiting way possible
If you know even a little about art, then it must be impossible for you to take the combination of bold colours, minimalist silhouettes and geometric forms as anything but from Bauhaus. The art school revolutionized the aesthetics of contemporary art so much that it gained momentum as a whole another movement in the art world. Recently, 99Designs paid homage to this institute on completing its century by calling out artists around the world to play with the typography of famous logos in the most Bauhaus way possible. The firm focused on working on the most recognized logos of corporate giants to emphasize on the influence of Bauhaus during the era of mass production while typography was involved because the genre witnessed great peaks of creativity during this movement.
“When the Bauhaus movement began, it was at a time when the world was on the brink of massive technological change. While many artists were worried that mainstream adoption of electricity and mass production would be the end of art as we knew it, the Bauhaus group were instead inspired by the change and progress they saw happening around them”, explains Patrick Llewellyn, the CEO of 99design.
