Charmin realized that karma mostly hit whilst one is on a bathroom break stating when one turns to the most crucial commodity only to realize that there hangs only a cardboard piece with no tissue paper wrapped around it. Which is why the company unveiled, Rollbot; a robot tending to your toilet paper needs at the times of distress, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 at Las Vegas.
These are one of those times where the sibling integrity is put to test but what if you have no loved ones nearby to hand you that lifesaving tissue paper? The Charmin Roolbot is a toilet paper delivery robot that is a 2 wheeled robot with a bear head. It is no secret that most of us take our smartphones with us to the toilet for the larger time-consuming jobs. With that fact in hand, Charmin designed the robot to be activated by a Bluetooth activator that is initiated via a smartphone app saving us from the hassle of crying out for the robot.
Charming Rollbot is designed with infrared sensors which enable it to find its way to you in the toilet. It also comes, with what the company calls, a ‘SmellSense’. The Rollbot would be able to warn the user if the toilet is too fetid to be used and requires an exhaust or an air freshener. Not only this, it also informs when the stanch has been dissipated. However, the only concerning matter to this product design is the need to keep the Rollbot stacked with toilet paper. If you forget to do so then, unfortunately, you are back to square one with your dire need of someone handing the toilet paper to you. This is honestly quite a bust considering if one forgets to stack up the toilet paper in the toilet it is quite likely that he would forget to load the Rollbot as well and all that money spent for nothing.
Charmin has yet to announce a release date for the product as well as its cost and until then it is merely a product design hence we will not be finding it at our local retails anytime soon. The advertising professor at Charmin says that the product design is not unveiled to make more sales for the robot rather to sell more toilet paper, anything to get their company name atop.
