Kendal Murray uses mundane objects as canvases for her miniature art

Australian artist Kendal Murray is pretty famous for her meticulous miniature art but more so because she uses normal household objects as canvases for her miniature assemblages. Murray has up till now used trays, coin purses, glass tea pots and many other objects as a base for her wholesome miniature scenarios and we are stunned with the charm and relatability that it creates. Her classic works incorporate a lot of fake grass and tiny figurines, enjoying a family holiday together and we bet that it would not have been the same had she used “appropriate” bases rather than these mundane objects.

Murray is currently being represented by Arthouse Gallery but if you do not happen to live in Australia, you can just head on to her Instagram page to see more of her work.
