The French automotive maker, Ludovic Lazarth, who is very well known for his inventions of absurd looking vehicles, is on a verge of achieving his most ambitious invention, a flying motorcycle. It was not anticipated that Lazareth was going to test drive his new invention for real but the new video proved all the assumptions wrong as the flying marvel could clearly be seen hovering with stability. This is quite an accomplishment even in the very beginning of this adventure.
The mechanics of this machine is not as simple as one might think. lazareth has put an exciting stir in his own wonder machine which he named LM-847 which was built on a raging 470 HP Maserati engine. He has upped that ante by integrating a 96,000 rpm Jet turbine along the hub of each wheel which provides massive upward lift and wheel orientation is adjusted by making use of hydraulic actuators. This whole intelligent assembly gives the bike space for adding two extra jets if there’s extra weight to be lifted.
You are stuck in traffic and there is no sign of relief, you pull over your bike in a safe launching zone and just one button away is your exit from the swamp of vehicles through the air with all of this happening in no more than just 60 seconds. Imagine the degree of relief this wonderful piece of invention could provide us with.
How this impressive, solo in style, Lazareth, has sleekly managed to put together the classified brake and power units along with the high power jets in the same wheel is truly astonishing. But what if things go wrong? Is there a safety unit in this thing? Well of course. Lazareth made sure to install ballistic parachute in each wheel to tackle emergency circumstances.
One hectic issue while dealing with the aerodynamics is weight management and it could get overcomplicated by addition of an extremely heavy engine. There is a possibility that the rear wheels are powered by batteries while running on road-mode and a cunning absence of any Maserati engine in the moto volante is also suspected supported by the fact that the engine seen on the bike could be a plastic cover up.
Lazareth and his girlfriend, who volunteered to be the first ever test-driver/pilot of the hover, have decided to display their invention in Gitex in Dubai in October this year with intentions of launching pre-orders.
