As we keep on with our disruptive anthropogenic activities, bees have started becoming endangered all around the world due to the loss of their green habitat. However, not every community is taking this issue for granted and one of them in Netherlands. The country’s 358 bee species have become endangered and to overcome this problem, the local authorities of Utrecht have added green roofs on top of 316 bus stops to encourage habitation of bees. This will consequently result in increased pollination that is imperative to keep the environment thriving. Moreover, these bus stops consist of bamboo benches and LED lights hence the overall design is kept as eco-friendly as possible.
