In today’s era, where mobile phones have everyone’s attention, Human Capable Inc. introduced amazing “Norm Glasses”, which are ready to be in the market soon. If you are tired of taking out your phone from your bag or pockets and do not want to miss any moment, then this invention is specially made for you. This fantastic invention offers you more engagement with your surroundings while being “hands-free”. It allows you to take pictures, record and watch videos, and even you can make phone calls with it. Isn’t it amazing?
These Norm Glasses are a completely functioning minicomputer in your glasses. They are lightweight and may weigh up to 36 g (1.7 oz). These are smart glasses that consist of a camera, speaker and head-up display (HUD) and show you all the information, including emails. All the parts are installed inside the frame and what is more interesting is that people around you would not be able to tell that any technology is available. Like regular sunglasses, you can fold these glasses in an eyeglass case. Norm Glasses can be easily hung on your shirt or even on your blouse. Barcodes and QR codes can be scanned by Norm Glasses. They are available in three sizes, and any prescription lenses can be fitted.
As stated above, Norm glasses consist of a minicomputer and also include a memory, storage, battery, optical system and a microphone. The optical system’s function is to protect the information in front of your eyes. In front of the glasses, there is a camera, and near to the ears, on the arms of the glasses, there are speakers. Through Bluetooth, you can pair your AR glasses with any smartphone. If you want to take photos or shoot videos, all can be done by Norm Glasses, and it can be stored on the glasses until you want to transfer them to other devices. You can also listen to your favourite music, and anyone within 1.5ft (0.5m) can hear to it.
Now the question arises how it can be operated? Well, it runs Android and can be controlled through voice commands, a touchpad on the temple, by your phone app, or head gestures. Furthermore, it has the function to run offline for some features. Also, you do not have to worry about its’ battery life as it can last for four to five hours of non-stop usage, which can also turn out to an entire day or two of normal usage.
It is currently funded by Human Capable Inc. through Kickstarter, and pledges start at $369. So, get ready for this fantastic technology because the shipping may start in January 2020, only if all the things go according to the plan.
