Ohio-based-photographer discovers art inside golf balls

What can you possibly find inside a golf ball? Well, we do not know about you, but Ohio-based photographer James Friedman surely found art. The photographer came up with the idea of capturing abstract textures and vivid contrasts of sliced, chipped and broken golf balls, encased in pure white exterior after he visited a golf trade equipment show. And then there was no turning back. Friedman kept on exploring and discovered that the cross sections seem vastly different on the basis of how the balls are cut and the next thing you know, he has created a whole photography series out of it.

Describing his art, Friedman shared, “For some viewers, my photographs from this series, titled Interior Design, allude to celestial bodies and the sublime. For me, their serendipitous structural exquisiteness and their subtle and passionate arrays of colors have inspired new exploration in my photography.”
