Japan is known for its stunning cherry blossoms during the short springtime when the whole country transforms into a pastel pink fairytale illusion. The streets and pavements get covered by the pink petals whereas the Sakura forests make the area seem like covered in pink snow.
Japanese photographer Koji has recently covered this “pink wave” quite beautifully in his photographs. Koji travelled around the country, from Osaka to Kyoto to take iconic shots of the cherry blossom. A shot of a pink train passing by railway tracks covered in pink petals through the pink trees shows just how the color dominates Japan in this particular season.
