An estimated one billion people ride a bicycle every day for transport, sports and household purposes. Well, then there is good news for all those who love bicycling.
The Swytch Company has introduced e-bike kits. It is one of the most affordable e-bike conversion kit. This kit is used to transform any regular bicycle into e-bike with up to 40 miles electric range and a top speed of 15mph (20mph in the US). Now you guys must be wondering what this kit includes and how it is to be installed.
This innovative Swytch kit includes a handlebar bag, mounting bracket, a front wheel, brake sensors and a pedal sensor. Its installation is easy. Take out the front wheel of the bicycle, buckle the crank sensor ring around the BB shell, then you have to zip-tie the pedal sensor to the frame. After this, compress the brake sensors onto the cables and then install the handlebar bracket and bag.
The purpose of the handlebar bag is to carry the battery and has a display on the top. This display shows battery life. Also, you can turn on and off the bag’s integrated 500-lumen front light. And of course, due to electronic connections, this bag is waterproof. You can charge the Swytch’s lithium-ion battery by a portable USB charger which charges the battery in 3 hours (25 miles) or 6 hours (50 miles). The weight of the 25-mile battery pack is 4.6lb, and the 50-mile battery pack weighs 6.6lb. Other than this, the 250W hub weighs about 3.3lb while the weight of 350 or 500W is about 6 lb each.
