This 91-inch-wide house is one the slimmest houses in London but offers a spacious living

The overcrowded landscape of London barely gives its citizens a chance to own an expansive place for themselves however, the active design firms in the city make sure to do whatever it takes to transform even the thinnest of plots into roomy spaces for their clients. A recent addition to the list of minimalist architecture in London is the 91-inch wide Slim House in St. John’s Hill, Wandsworth.

The three-storied house that is narrower than London’s tube carriage was built in an abandoned alleyway by the design firm, Alma-nac. The architects extended the length of the alleyway, increasing the total space to 1058 square-feet and with that, incorporated sloping roofs with multiple skylights in the design to ensure exposure of natural light in the house. The first-floor houses two reception rooms, a kitchen and breakfast room at the rear end, a glass door that leads to the landscaped garden and a staircase in between the room reception rooms that guide the way to the second floor. The second floor accommodates two bedrooms in which one of them is a master bedroom with a dressing room and a bathroom. The last floor comprises of additional bedrooms and a roomy bathroom with a tub.

Being one of the slimmest houses of London, Slim House incorporates witty storage techniques all around the house with built-in cabinetry, shelves and nook storage. Take a tour of the house right here!
