This innovative jacket can give you a good solid massage for 3 hours

Imagine you’re sitting in your office chair or classroom. It’s been a long and tiring day and your back muscles have begun to ache because of staying seated for too long. Well, what if I told you that there’s a jacket that can make that go away?

A Singaporean start-up company has launched a hoodie that doubles as a massager! That’s correct. A hoodie can now do massages for you! And the mechanism is quite simple too. Basically, the AiraWear has a detachable vest which consists of six inflatable pillow-type protruding plastic nubs which are concealed under a hoodie. The pillows are located along the shoulders, middle-back and lower-back; which means it targets all pressure zones. These pillows-when inflated-mimic the action of kneading fingers and acupuncture on your back. All you need to do is, put this thing on, sync it to the app on your phone and let it work its magic.

But that’s not all. The application gives you full control over your massage. You can choose the type of massage you want; relax, shoulder, lower back and sleep. Not just that, you can also alter the intensity of massage at different points on your back. Say you want the massager to focus on your shoulders more. Just adjust the intensity and Voila! It’s that simple.

The best part about it is that the massage doesn’t just last for 20 or 30 minutes. Your massage can last for a solid 3 hours before it requires recharge! One has to charge it for two hours before it’s ready to be used again. Furthermore, you don’t have to be in a seated position in order to receive the massage. You can walk, work and basically do anything while the AiraWear does its job. And the detachable vest gives you the leverage to wear it under any shirt you want. Finally, the jacket fixes your posture as well by activating the lower back modules when you begin to slouch as a reminder for you to sit up straight!

The only downside is that it does make some noise while it’s at work and the inflatable pillows may also make you look like the hunch-back of Notre Dame. However, when the pros outweigh the cons, we really have little reason to shy away from buying this long-since-needed contraption!
