There were times when deserts were thought of as nothing but useless barren lands but thanks to the rapidly thriving tourism industry, globe trotters can enjoy stargazing and much more in the middle of the Sharjah desert, sheltered by the beautiful Al Faya Lodge and Spa. The hotel is located at the foot of Mount Alvaah and has five bedrooms to offer as well as facilities of salt spa, salty swimming pool, library and its very own skylight. However, the presence of these luxurious amnesties does not mean that the guest will not be able to enjoy the desert landscape. The installed steel panels open up to the desert’s sandy landscape hence the guests can soak the charm of the rustic habitat around them.
The hotel which used to be a clinic and grocery store, is transformed by London and Dubai-based practice Anarchitect. The firm cleverly used teak paneled interiors to bring some aesthetically pleasing contrast to the spa’s stone walls. Check out the hotel in its entirety through these photographs right here!
