The Vision Mercedes Simplex is a new concept car which is a mixture of past and future design. This beautiful new concept car pays tribute to the old hot rod predecessor having the same bucket-shaped body. Daimler and Motoren Gesellschaft produced the original Simplex, and it was designed by Wilhelm Maybach from 1902 to 1909, in Germany. It was the first automobile that looked different from carriages. The original Simplex had only two seats and had a low centre of gravity with the wide outer body. It had powerful engines that ranged from 40 to 60 horsepower with no doors or windshield, and now the German Company is going to redesign it.
According to chief design officer Gorden Wagener, “Only a strong brand as Mercedes-Benz can be capable of the physical symbiosis of the history and the future. The Vision Mercedes Simplex represents the transformation of the brand-specific luxury of Mercedes-Benz”.
So what’s new in this car? Well, this fantastic and beautiful car is built with 150 trainers. It is the blend of traditional design features and latest technology. Inspired by Formula One racing cars, carbon-fibre bucket seats have been included with hand-stitched leather cover with a fibreglass front section. It can be controlled through drive-by-wire technology. And there is a joystick instead of the conventional steering wheel. It is being said that radiators will be a relic of the combustion age with a black panel/3D display instead of the grilles. This display, framed in rose gold, will be used to play the animation. Then comes the hyper analogue, which is a digital dash designed to present the information only. The wheels of this car are still wide and exposed.
According to the Labour Relations Manager Günther Fleig, “He is happy to see how much hard work, creativity and effort, these young people have put into this project”. From all the above information, this new car seems very interesting as Mercedes-Benz is always everyone’s favourite. Even every individual wishes to go back to that era and drive these beautiful cars again. But as this is the 21st century, we are hoping for the best for this fantastic Vision Mercedes Simplex design.
