A new technology is underway which may just allow you to be able to drink water from a system that is integrated into your own car, during a long drive! It can also aid to the internal affairs of your car such as providing water to rinse off some equipment or to circulate through engine parts and automotive sensors to keep them clean.
The Watergen Automotive AWG System was introduced during the CES 2019. It works functionally by drawing a specific amount of air from the surroundings, into an atmospheric water generator. The AWG in the name represents the use of the atmospheric water generator to complete this task.
In the first step, the drawn air is filtered in order to remove all the air pollutants and dust present. Next, it is sent into a heat exchanger and a cooling system which lets the water droplets present in the air cool down and condense. This condensed water is then sent through another high powered filtration system that carries out the final mineral additions to improve the water quality.

A dispenser is built into the front console of the car. When not in use, this clean water is stored up in a reservoir and circulated around the car system. When the driver wishes to have some, they use the built-in dispenser.
Watergen believes that the treated water can refine the working of the cars by enhancing their performance through the purified incoming air. Currently, the parent company is working on an agreement with Ford, to observe the implications of integrating this technology with their vehicles.

Although it is too early to predict how well this technology is going to do, it sure is one useful addition and can prove to go a very long way in terms of conservation.
